Car performance indicator (PI)

The car performance indicator represents the Total performance of the car over the 4 performance attributes. The PI helps comparing car performances over a single and simple value and also provides an indicator to group cars in categories.

PI = Acceleration + Speed + Handling + Breaking

Balance of performance(BoP)

Cars from the same category may have different performances, providing a advantage to the cars with the highest PI from the category.

In order to allow a fair and balanced competition within a given race or event, participating cars attributes will be balanced prior to entering a competition. Infinite Drive uses a similar mechanic as defined by the FIA in real GT competitions.

Temporary restrictions will be applied to the most performant cars of the group for the duration of the event or race. This restriction could takes multiple forms: Added car weight, restriction of some car attributes like the Acceleration.
